ADELAIDE BAROSSA

The Adelaide Hills is just a 20 minute drive from the city. Here, you can discover the quaint historic German village of Hahndorf, and shop in heritage buildings, nibble traditional German delicacies, take a ride on a landau carriage drawn by horses, stop for a stein of beer at the German Arms Hotel, or visit "The Cedars" - the former home of Australia's greatest painter, Sir Hans Heysen.

For nature lovers, take a walk through Warrawong Sanctuary and see Australia's native animals in their own environment. Pick fresh strawberries at a strawberry farm and sample the confectioneries at Melba's Chocolate Factory in Woodside. Or take in the sweeping views of Adelaide from the hills to the sea from the top of Mount Lofty.

Whatever your indulgence, you're sure to find it in the Adelaide Hills.
